| Environment Policy |
The Board of Directors recognises that effective environmental management is an integral part of our business; the Boar assumes full responsibility for the implementation of this policy.
We are committed to protecting and improving the environment in which we work, working with stakeholders to improve the impact our operations may have on the environment. We aim to do this by:
- Continually reviewing our Environmental Management systems, working towards BD 8555.
- Undertaking an annual evaluation of our environmental management system and communicating the findings to stakeholders.
- Endeavoring to reduce the amount of waste we produce and implementing good waste management practices.
- Providing resources to ensure all staff are trained in matters that relate to the environment.
- Effectively communicating environmental information across the business.
- Considering the environmental impacts of our activities and the activities of our subcontracts.
- Complying with environmental legislation and codes of practice. These will be regarded as setting the minimum standard of our environmental performance.
- Considering the environmental activities of our business from project conception to completion.
- Monitoring activities at our regional and satellite offices; motivating staff to work in an environmentally responsible manner and to play an active part in developing new environmental ideas and initiatives.
- Implementing a sustainable procurement policy, coupled with efficient use of resources through careful planning.
- Working with suppliers to reduce the environmental impact of their products and transportation on our undertakings.
- Preventing pollution and ensuring effective pollution incidence control procedures are in place and adhered to.

Minimising the impact of emissions to the air by reducing the amount of unnecessary travel, and encouraging those who have to travel to do so in a way that minimizes the impact on the environment.
