Banking
The way in which many of us choose to carry out our banking, online and by telephone has changed the way that banks have to serve us. The need of high levels of “over the counter” service have gone, we have neither the time, nor the need for this. Withdrawals and deposits are mostly automated and statements viewed on line. Bank branches now consist of automated service points and a series of consultation area and mini pods.
The areas of service within the branch are sometimes highlighted with design differentials in the wall and floor finishes, and everything is highly visual.
There is a high level of activity in the banking sector to “sell” themselves to the public. This may be to promote their global positioning, their local credentials, their CSR or their environmental credentials, but mostly to be available and to be approachable, without the mystique.
Withey are pleased to be responsible for helping a number of banks to refocus their presence in the retail market place and have completed some 37 branch refurbishments or fit outs.
